DIAMOND BROOCH
A simple but fun project which makes an ideal present. It is inexpensive and ideal for young children. The diamond brooch uses four bi-colour LEDs randomly flashing in a diamond shaped arrangement to create a sparkling effect. It comes to life when picked up, and goes to sleep if unmoved for 20 seconds. This project uses the P12C508 PIC which is very inexpensive and simple - ideal for a beginner. UV PROTECTION
This project is a little more complicated - but possible more useful too! Many materials are succeptible to the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays. This device displays the relative strength of these rays and provides a count down feature to warn the user when a material has received its maximum amount of UV. It has all sorts of uses, let your imagination run loose!
