Hi John. I really enjoyed your book. I tried to figure out how to program PIC's with Microchip's PICkit1 starter programmer for months with no avail. Then I read through your book, and it made the whole process so simple for me.
No doubt you get tonnes of praise but I ought to know that your book "PIC - Your Personal Introductory Course" (just incase you've written others) is both brilliantly written, an informative read and a great introduction to what is, for me, the next stage in pursuing my hobby (or should i say fascination in electronics) through the use of PICs.
I spent long nights reading examples and searching the web for help. I came across your book at Amazon.com and ordered it over christmas. It came two days ago and I've already read it and finally I'm excited about programming. Your book brought everything together for me and finally allows me to understand everything that I'm writing. I especially appreciated the way you explained what the commands stand for instead of just explaining what they do.
